Swings, cats and cakes: 2nd March

I protested the day we had to leave Hostel La Nuez. It was just too warm and homely and I was feeling.....well, just tired.

Thankfully Ale ignored my 'princess ' moment and we travelled further south to Puerta Varas. Apparently a lot of German immigrants settled here and their influence is clear in the architecture, food and the people.

We stayed in another beautiful hostel that not only had 9 cats (4 kittens) and a dog, but also swings and a slippery slide all surrounded by beautiful gardens, across the road from the lake. The 3 of us had sooo much fun - me running around between the gardens, Ale on the swings and Sofia playing with the cats. And every morning there was a newly handmade cake to enjoy for breaky! Yum yum.
