By 7am we were driving out of Auckland, strangley super excited to be in NZ. From the moment we landed, we were feeling incredibly happy, relaxed and joyful. Perhaps it was the simplicity of organisation - road signs in the right places informing you of the right direction to take - or maybe it was just the stunning natural beauty that swept us up and carried us away.
Regardless our first day was magnificant. From the dawn mist rising over the Auckland hills, to the many horse studs to the Red Cherry cafe, where we met the lovely Perrin and Ann (whom we had coffee with 6 days later in Wellington) and really really enjoyed excellent coffee, homemade cakes and fruit toast.
It has to be said that it also felt great being back in an English speaking country!
