Ciao Ciao NYC

Sick baby, sick me, sick hubby. Family, friends, wine, champagne, food, Chinese take-out (twice), our $26 pizza, the sights, sun and NYC cool wind. The laughs, the walks, the squirrels, the people, the lights, the many 'Starbucks' Chai Tea Lattes and 'Pret a Manger' sarnies...It's been a jammed packed 10 days but I wouldn't swap it for the world.

I will never tire of this city. It offers too much for the greedy tourist and time is never a friend.

We leave for San Francisco tomorrow morning and quite frankly, I'm feeling a little whimsical. We've had such a lovely time in NYC. Our family and friends have shown such incredible kindness, for which we are forever grateful, and we look forward to when we can return the hospitality.

We finally managed to make it to the top of the Empire State Building this morning. Constructed in under a year in 1931 - what an incredible feat (and incredible lack of health and safety regulations). No 2 hour wait - just an easy stroll through empty roped off queue areas. NYC wore her cloudy, grey face today but the view is always spectacular.

Au revoir pretty lady. I have no doubt we'll return. xx

Wind? What wind? My favourite 'Chrysler Building' in the background (RHS piccie)
